Network Optimisation

(Instant Accounts Plus users only)

It may be possible to improve the performance of your Instant Accounts Plus program across a network, depending on the operating system that you run on your server.

If you are running either a Windows 95, Windows 98 or Windows ME operating system on your server, we recommend that you set the Network Optimisation options from the Settings menu.

To Optimise your Network Settings

Important Note: You must set this option on every PC on the network that is running Instant Accounts Plus.

1. Open the Settings menu and choose Network.

The Network Performance Optimisation window appears.

2. If the server that holds your Instant Accounts Plus data uses either a Microsoft Windows 95, 98 or ME operating system, select the relevant check box.

The second check box is enabled.

3. If the PC you are using is connected to the server using a TCP/IP network protocol, select the relevant check box.

4. To accept the changes, click OK. To exit without making any changes, click Exit.

If you click OK, a warning message appears. Close down and restart your Instant Accounts Plus program to use the new network settings.
